Working with animals can be extremely unpredictable and sometimes you just don’t know what they are going to do!
We decided after six long weeks in the clinic, this Southern White-faced Owl who has been healing from a broken wing was ready for some exercise in an outside enclosure. We work with our injured Raptors as little as possible to avoid unnecessary stress and injuries. It is important to remember that these are wild birds!
We are considered predators to them and while some may play dead, these little Owls have a very different outlook on defense! 😂 😂 Within a few minutes of vacating the enclosure, this Owl had settled comfortably into his new home.
No Rehabbers or Owls were harmed in the filming of this video.
