Kyrone Josiah (Masters candidate) is currently running a research project under the supervision of Prof CT Downs. This project is being undertaken in the School of Life Scientces, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzberg.

 

This research forms part of a study on the Spotted Thick-knee, and their prevalence in urban areas. Kyrone is investigating their distribution across the urban mosaic landscapes of Pietermaritzburg.

FreeMe Wildlife has assisted in the research project by providing data from our previous Thick-knee patients. This data includes, sex, age, location and cause of injury.
